Borrowing Procedures

Circulating books=2 weeks
Reserve books=1 week
Videotapes=1 week
Audiotapes=1 week
CD books=1 week
Kit (book & audio)=1 week
Pamphlets=1 week

Overdue Protocol

If a patron accumulates $5.00 in fines, his/her borrowing privileges will be suspended. A maximum fine of $5.00 per item will be charged for returned, undamaged overdue material.

A patron will be called twice for any overdue items. If the items are not returned, a certified letter will be sent. The cost of the letter, $3.00 will be added to the fine or replacement cost. If the overdue items are not returned, the information will be sent to the local magistrate. The magistrate will contact the patron and will determine costs.

Fines for Overdue Materials

Circulating adult books .10/day
Reserve books .50/day
Juvenile books .05/day
Videotapes .25/day
Audiotapes .25/day
Reference material can be checked out overnight with a $20. deposit. If the material is not returned the next day there will be a charge of $10. each day after. After two days a certified letter.

We will no longer circulate periodicals as of May 1, 2001. Patrons will be required to leave their library cards at the front desk in order to read back issues of periodicals.

Library Protocol
Children must be attended at all times.

No running or skateboarding is permitted in the library.

No baseball cleats, soccer spikes, or rollerblades will be permitted in the library.

No climbing on furniture or standing on furniture will be permitted in the library.

Children must be at least 8 years old to use the catalog computers. Children 6-8 may use them with assistance & supervision of a parent or guardian.

Please use library voices...others are trying to read & study.

Please do not throw disposable diapers in the garbage or toilet in the restroom.
