The Penn Township Community Business Guide has been the # 1 source of local business information for nearly 30 years. The Guide is commonly known as "that Little Bright Book" since it is also easily found with its famous fluorescent covers in red, lime & orange! It is published every other year with the next edition being distributed January 2013. Orders will be taken the summer of 2012. Click the Contact Us link to the right, to make sure your business is on our mailing list for the next edition. 10,000 copies of the Business Guide go out into the community for two full years and requests for more books are called in year round. Yes, it IS that popular & used every day!!

Business or resident, if you did not receive a copy in the mail, you can pick one up at the PT Municipal Building, PT Library, S&T Bank or Manor Bank. Helpful information is included with each book including maps, telephone & address info and just about any phone number you will ever need if you are new to our Penn Township community! Dogcatcher? Driver's Centers? Fishing, Boating or Hunting License...it's in there! You won't find more information for all of Penn Twp & (even Pittsburgh info) packed into such a small informative booklet as the PT Directory...as it is used every single day by local residents & businesses!!

Why Shop Local?           How Important Is It?

Penn Township is a small rural community made up of many smaller businesses. Owners are usually long time residents of Penn Township that have been born & raised here or they are now currently raising a young family.

Our business owners are proud community supporters! Many times though, people do not realize how much is asked of our small businesses. Just about every event that takes place in our schools, our churches and organizations have a business leader involved somehow. Whether it be in the preparation of the events or in the financing of them, Penn Township businesses are extremely involved in their community! On any given day, you may find, not one, but a stack of letters requesting donations on the owners desk... But what does that mean to you?

Our local businesses DO need your support to continue to make our community have a healthy business enviroment. It is VERY important to buy local, shop local and support these small Penn Township business owners. When small businesses close their doors, the whole community takes a loss.
